Roche's Point is synonymous with the Sea Area Forecast . It's lighthouse was built in 1817 to guide ships into one of the world's largest natural harbours, Cork Harbour, on the south west coast of Ireland
A row of picturesque terraced houses hunker adjacent to the iconic lighthouse . They are home to a small tight knit community . Aquatic biologist Frances Gallagher lives there .
